BTS’s Jungkook, aespa & TWICE — “Boys II Planet” Contestant’s Alleged Extreme Hate Posts Towards K-Pop Idols Spark Backlash

A contestant from the popular survival show Boys II Planet (also known as Boys Planet 2) is under fire after several online posts allegedly from him resurfaced showing hate towards major K-Pop artists, including BTS’s Jungkook, aespa, and TWICE.

The posts, allegedly made by contestant Peng Jinyu, have gone viral on both Korean and Chinese platforms and sparked intense backlash from fans and netizens alike.

The controversy centers around a series of past posts and polls shared via Weibo. In some of these posts, Jinyu allegedly openly mocked Jungkook with derogatory terms and personal attacks.

Jeon Jungkook is dating again. What kind of ‘top’ is he? Top at cheating on his girlfriend? Top at scoring 7 in English and 4 in Math? Top at manipulating YouTube comments and likes? Jinyu also created and participated in various Weibo polls directly targeting aespa and TWICE. One poll listed aespa members by name and included offensive options:
