Did you know that “DOORS” stands for Doyoung + us (NCTzens)? That connection was truly felt at the Doyoung [ DOORS ] Concert in Singapore on 16 July 2025, at The Star Theatre.
Serenade
When it comes to vocal excellence, it is safe to say that Doyoung is one of the best in the industry. His powerhouse vocals are not a secret to any Doyoung and NCT listener and it was certainly no surprise that he was able to light up the stage all on his own.
Doyoung commanded the stage from the very first moment, stepping out in a long white coat, performing ‘Wake From The Dark’, welcomed with roaring cheers and a glowing sea of lightsticks.

Doyoung impressed everyone with his vocals, hitting every note with precision effortlessly. Yet, his voice remained steady, powerful, and unwavering even after showcasing the full range of his vocal abilities all night.
Every performance was executed flawlessly and the live performances simply soared beyond everyone’s expectations, leaving fans in awe and impressed repeatedly.
Personally, while we already knew of his vocal prowess, witnessing his sheer talent live in such perfection was still nothing short of breathtaking.
Time Machine
Doyoung treated fans to a special jazz segment, where he belted out charming jazz renditions of ‘Serenade’ and OST ‘Like A Star’ with a soulful twist.
As if boarding a musical 'Time Machine', fans were brought to the NCT era! The vocalist performed reimagined fan-favourites, NCT U’s ‘Yestoday’, NCT127’s ‘Love Song’ and DOJAEJUNG’s ‘Perfume’, in smooth, jazzy tones, earning deafening cheers from the fans.
Warmth
Throughout the concert, Doyoung never missed a moment to sincerely thank those around him— from his hardworking staff to his interpreter, and most of course, his fans who filled the venue with passionate cheers. His sincere comments were full of warmth and really showed the depth of his character— grounded, gracious, and genuinely humble. It was heartwarming to witness an artiste with so many years in the industry still carry such gratitude and humility to everyone.
“I forgot this was a foreign (international) concert,” Doyoung chimed with praise for his previous fans’ dedication, acknowledging how impressive it was that they learnt his lyrics despite the language difference.
It was rather refreshing to see an artiste so openly aware and appreciative of his fans. During his ending comments, the artiste also made a promise to his fans to meet again during his next visit.
Doyoung: I will make sure to come to Singapore again! When I come back, I hope you can come to the concert too! Confirm plus chop? (Promise?)
To give back to his fans, the hardworking and playful Doyoung also attempted to pick up some Singlish phrases!

It felt like the perfect mid-week ‘Rest’ and definitely one that we will gladly ‘Rewind’ to experience all over again.
