These K-Pop Dance Trends Are Super Challenging—But These Idols Slayed Them Anyway!

8 hours ago 4

K-pop dance challenges are usually made to be easy to learn so that fans can recreate them, but not every idol is willing to lower the bar. These choreographies are true to the original at maximum difficulty! Regardless, these idols took up the challenge and made even the toughest dances look easy.

Lee Chae Yeon and Stray KidsHyunjin

Lee Chae Yeon does not pull any punches when it comes to choreography. Recognized as one of K-pop’s best female dancers, she makes her dance challenges a real challenge! Luckily, Hyunjin of Stray Kids is always prepared. He nailed every move despite how difficult and detailed this choreo is!

SEVENTEEN’s Dino and TXT’s Yeonjun

If there’s an easy SEVENTEEN choreography we have yet to see it, but Yeonjun seriously upped the ante with his version! Accompanying fellow ’99 liner Dino, they performed the dance break. That’s some seriously fast, complex footwork – not to mention the isolations! Yeonjun performed it without even breaking a sweat.

ILLIT’s Moka and TXT’s Huening Kai

Speaking of TXT members, Huening Kai also impressed with his performance of ILLIT’s “jellyous” alongside Moka. It’s a strenuous choreography with fast footwork that requires you to keep your balance, so it’s even harder than it looks! Huening Kai matched Moka perfectly, making this dance duo totally iconic.

Stray Kids’ Changbin and NMIXX’s Kyujin

Kyujin, the youngest member of NMIXX, never disappoints when it comes to a dance challenge. “LALALALA” is a tough dance challenge even by Stray Kids’ high standards, but she performs it alongside Changbin like she could be a Stray Kids member herself. She even won rock-paper-scissors, meaning she got to show off her moves right up front!

NCT DREAM’s Jisung and Hearts2Hearts’ Juun

As NCT DREAM’s main dancer, it’s hard to even keep up with Jisung. Juun makes it look like a piece of cake! BTTF has a lot of detailed moves to hit and even a couple of turns, but Juun executed all of them without a hitch. She looks like she’s having a great time no matter how hard the choreography is!

LE SSERAFIM and ZEROBASEONE

Tutting is a very specific style of dance that not many idols are formally trained in – except Sung Han Bin! Zhang Hao performs it just as well, hitting every angle and catching every beat. All those complex hand movements are mesmerizing to watch, but are a lot harder than they look. Everyone here is killing it!

RIIZE’s Shotaro and Lee Chae Yeon

Proving her dance skills over and over with a choreography that had a lot of people scratching their heads, Lee Chae Yeon flexed her moves in RIIZE’s “Get A Guitar”! That footwork is pretty confusing and hard to time correctly, but she keeps up with Shotaro’s moves and his energy perfectly.

BTS’s J-Hope and SHINee’s Taemin

A legend in the K-pop dance world, it’s perhaps not a surprise that Taemin can perfect any choreography set out for him. It’s still impressive when you consider J-Hope’s extensive hip hop background and how hard it is to get this groove exactly right. Precise footwork, quick beats, and choreo designed for a hip hop pro – and Taemin performs it all with a smile!
