Lee and V’s association came as quite a surprise for fans after V got discharged from his mandatory military duty and filmed two dance videos with her. Their chemistry was undeniable, hinting at a closer friendship than just that of an idol and a choreographer.

In a recent interview after Mnet‘s World of Street Woman Fighter wrapped up its final episode, Lee, for the first time, opened up about her relationship with V. The dancer stated, “We’re connected through dance.” She explained that V loved dancing as much as she did, and that laid a solid foundation for their friendship.

Lee admitted that the two of them shared a great synergy. She also named V as an inspiration, who motivates her to hone her own craft with even more sincerity.

Dancing is my profession, so of course I love it with everything I have. But despite having to sing and embody so many other elements as an artist, he genuinely loves dance just as much as I do. He’s incredibly humble, and when I see how hard he works—sometimes even harder than I do—it makes me reflect and think, ‘There’s no room for compromise in what I do.

— Lee Jung

As much as Lee Jung and V’s collaboration was unexpected for fans, it also left them with equal anticipation and a desire to see more of them together. Given their shared love for dancing, it wouldn’t be a stretch to expect seeing Lee Jung working with the idol for official projects in the future.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung also played a pivotal role in making the choreographies of the Netflix hit Kpop Demon Hunters. Read more about it here:
