A recent post on Pann pointing out the response to their recent performance went viral over over 26,000 views. The post made scathing comments towards NCT Dream’s popularity, stage presence, and performances.

Why did NCT DREAM flop so badly?
Their university festival performance didn’t generate any buzz, what a disaster. At least NCT 127 has some cool songs.
DREAM is just childish. And the live vocals? Every time someone like Jeno comes out, the secondhand embarrassment is unreal.
It’s honestly embarrassing to even show them overseas. How can you expect to get on Billboard singing like that? Not just anyone can do what BTS did. They have these top students standing there watching performances like this… I feel secondhand embarrassment just thinking about it.

In the post’s comments, many netizens agreed with the sentiment that the group’s concept feels outdated.

Some even claimed that NCT Dream fans are now moving on to newer groups like RIIZE and NCT Wish.

- “DREAM only ever had youth going for them, and now that they’re older and there are younger idols coming up, even that one advantage is gone. Most fans moved on to RIIZE and [NCT] Wish. DREAM fans always used to flex about age and bash [NCT] 127, but now 127’s core fanbase is the only one left.”
- “You’re just trying to start a fight by bringing up NCT 127 for no reason. Move along, seriously.”
- “Who even stans DREAM these days?”
- “You seem like the one who cares most about DREAM… it’s so obvious you wrote all the posts about them yourself.”
- “They can’t compete with 3rd-gen groups, so they’re always picking fights with 4th-gen ones, even though there’s a huge difference in generation and years active. LOL.”
