Actress Lim Ji Yeon has made history as the first official ambassador for Mercedes-Maybach Korea's customer appreciation program, receiving a luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S 580 sedan during a special ceremony held at Han Sung Motor's Cheongdam showroom on July 7.

The event marks the launch of Han Sung Motor's "Culture Voyage x Ambassador" program, a premium customer engagement initiative celebrating the dealership's 40th anniversary. The program aims to connect influential figures from culture, arts, and sports with valued customers, creating unique brand experiences that deepen customer relationships.

Lim Ji Yeon's selection as the inaugural ambassador reflects her growing stature in the entertainment industry, particularly following her acclaimed performance in Netflix's "The Glory," which earned her a Best Supporting Actress award at the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards. The actress previously served as a brand ambassador for luxury fashion house Loewe, demonstrating her appeal to premium brands.

The vehicle presentation ceremony took place at Han Sung Motor's Cheongdam showroom, Korea's only Mercedes-Maybach-dedicated exhibition space. Designed with the Exclusive Lounge Plus interior concept, the showroom embodies the luxury and philosophy of the Mercedes-Maybach brand. The event was hosted by broadcaster Shin Ah Young and included VIP customers from Seoul's Gangnam district.

"It is a true honor to take part in Han Sung Motor's 40th anniversary as the first ambassador of this meaningful program. I am thrilled to connect with customers as part of this meaningful journey, and look forward to sharing the sincerity and trust of Han Sung Motor to as many customers as possible," Lim Ji Yeon said during the ceremony.

Han Sung Motor, established in 1985 as Korea's first imported car dealership, has grown to become Mercedes-Benz's largest official dealer in the country, operating 19 showrooms, 19 service centers, and seven certified used car showrooms nationwide. The company holds a 49 percent stake in Mercedes-Benz Korea and has consistently demonstrated its commitment to customer service excellence.

Korea holds particular significance for the Mercedes-Maybach brand, ranking as the second-largest market globally for the ultra-luxury marque, even surpassing the United States and Germany. The country's strong appetite for premium vehicles is evident in the fact that both the G-Class and Mercedes-Maybach have each surpassed 10,000 cumulative sales in Korea.

The Culture Voyage x Ambassador program will expand to all Han Sung Motor showrooms, featuring ambassadors from various fields who will visit locations to engage with customers and share lifestyle experiences. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen customer relationships and enhance the luxury brand experience through meaningful cultural connections.
