A K-Pop idol opened up about her tough trainee days.
On the episode of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block aired on the 24th, Heo Gayoon, formerly of 4Minute, appeared. Heo Gayoon and Yoo Jae Suk happily caught up after meeting for the first time in 10 years.
In fact, 4Minute, which had many hit songs, disbanded immediately after their contract ended, disappointing many K-pop fans. At the time, Heo Gayoon intended to transition to acting, but it was not easy.
Heo Gayoon had already been through hardships before. Yet, she endured them. She said, “I worked really hard as a trainee. Once, I experienced something like school bullying during my trainee days. But I was so desperate to achieve my dream that I decided to just endure it. I even asked them not to hit my face.”
She added, “At that time, becoming a singer was more important than being afraid. I thought if I let that change my words, it would not be right,” revealing how deeply she longed to fulfill her dream of becoming a singer, which moved everyone.
