Yet, the upcoming announcement has already been hit with a stream of criticism from Korean fans, due to the reputation of the brand. On the Korean forum site theqoo, netizens hit back at the members’ decision, claiming that they didn’t need the money so why did they choose a brand that netizens deemed “right-wing” and was boycotted in Korea.

  • They could’ve chosen freely… I guess it really is all about the money.
  • They’re far-right, though. It’s not like they’re short on cash—why even bother?
  • Usually you’d consider the group’s image when choosing endorsements, but going with a far-right sponsor? Wow. 🤢
  • Not like they’re a group that relies on Korean fans anyway.
  • So they really don’t care about managing their image at all, huh.

The group is due to start their world tour in Goyang on July 5.
