Asian Singles’ Day Celebration In New York With K-Drama Star Kim Mingue

The Shops at Skyview is bringing the excitement of Asia’s beloved Singles’ Day celebration to New York City this fall, complete with fashion, fun, and a touch of K-Drama flair.

Kim MinGue Makes His First U.S. Appearance Post-Military Service

On Sunday, Nov. 9 (2–5 p.m.), the multi-level shopping destination in Flushing, Queens, will host its second annual Singles’ Day event, featuring an appearance by South Korean actor Kim Mingue, best known for his roles in the hit dramas “Business Proposal” and “Snowdrop”. This marks his first U.S. appearance since completing military service, making it a highly anticipated event for fans.

Fashion, Fun, and Community Come Together

Guests will enjoy a live makeover demonstration by Sephora, an interactive “cover model” photobooth, and a charity winter coat drive supporting the local community. Participating retailers will offer lucky bags starting at just $11.11, inspired by the 11/11 Singles’ Day tradition. Visitors can also unwind at a “singles bar” featuring sweet treats and refreshing beverages.

Tickets are free with proof of $100 or more in purchases (made on or after Oct. 1) from any Shops at Skyview retailer. Shoppers can upload their receipts via the registration link available on the center’s official website.
