It’s been a little over a week since “BOYS II PLANET” concluded and the final lineup for ALPHA DRIVE ONE was confirmed. While the eight winners of the program will move on to start a new journey and some former contestants will consider participating in spin-off “PLANET C: HOME RACE“, many others returned to their lives before the show — but instead, with much more fans and recognition.

The hype around these former “BOYS II PLANET” contestants continues to remain strong, as several appeared on the popular web variety program, “K-Star Next Door.” Li ZiHao, Xue SuRen, Park DongGyu, Chuei LiYu, and Jang HanEum had the opportunity to showcase their variety chops on the web program, captivating viewers once more.

Appearing on “K-Star Next Door”, these five were able to greet their fans once again. They revealed that filming took place just a few days after the “BOYS II PLANET” finale, so emotions were still fresh and memories as vivid as ever. Because of that, they were able to easily share various stories of what went down behind the scenes that didn’t make it onto the broadcast.

They shared the luxurious privileges of being an ALL STAR, how some contestants shared snacks from the snack room — even name-dropping Zhou AnXin as a culprit — and feeling their massive spike in popularity.

Though they didn’t make it across the finish line into the final debut lineup, these “BOYS II PLANET” contestants still had fond memories of their time on the show.

These five didn’t just spill behind-the-scenes secrets, they also volunteered to perform a few songs. Park DongGyu and Jang HanEum went “KPop Demon Hunters”-coded, singing both ‘Soda Pop’ and ‘Golden’ respectively. Park DongGyu’s ‘Soda Pop’ reinforced his all-rounder status, while Jang HanEum’s vocals left everyone cheering for more. Li ZiHao closed things out with a cover of BLACKPINK’s ‘Jump’ and got everyone off their feet.

They showed much more than talent, but also captivated audiences with their funny and charming variety sense. From reenacting iconic scenes to the accent many “BOYS II PLANET” contestants started to use, there was laughter abound throughout the episode. It proved that they were born to entertain in every way and natural variety show presence.

After 38 minutes, this episode of “K-Star Next Door” came to a close — but thankfully, there’s more to come for these five. A part two is scheduled for release, where they’ll continue to share behind-the-scenes stories and showcase their never-ending talents.

Outside of the web program, they’ve all been active in their own ways since their elimination. Li ZiHao has been chatting on Bubble, while Xue SuRen has conducted a few livestreams, both interacting with their fans. Jang HanEum is preparing for an upcoming fan meeting, and Chue LiYu has had schedules with Esquire and Y Magazine. Park DongGyu went right back to the training room but can be seen in several uploads on the IST Entertainment Trainee Instagram.

With these five contestants living so diligently even after elimination, many fans are excited to support them in their future endeavors. Their supporters continue to cheer for their success and hope to see them back on stage very soon.
