THE BOYZ Gets Yelled At In Viral Clip—Fans Rush To Defend The Troubled Boy Group

As THE BOYZ headed to Japan, departing from Korea’s Gimpo International Airport on June 14, 2025 (KST), members of the idol group confronted their current situation as one agitated fan demanded a member’s withdrawal.

In the past week, multiple THE BOYZ members found themselves in multiple controversies. From smoking, partying, and dating, Juyeon, Hyunjae, Sangyeon, Eric, and Sunwoo have all been “exposed” by their own fans.

Amid the online backlash, One Hundred Label warned against the “dissemination of unconfirmed information that damages the reputation and character of the artists.”

Still, the threat of legal action didn’t stop one fan from taking it an extra mile. As THE BOYZ  members battle the string of scandals, a clip from their latest airport departure gained attention. In the clip, a female voice can be heard in the background:

Fan 2: What did they just say?

While it is unclear to who the message is being directed, the fan is asking a member to withdraw from THE BOYZ. Some hear “Fake Nose Lee Juyeon,” which refers to a malicious nickname given to Juyeon by his haters, while others hear “Lee Jaehyun,” which is member Hyunjae’s legal name.

When the clip circulated online, K-Pop fans commented that the fan in the clip has crossed the line, mid-scandal or not. Regardless of the ongoing controversies, fans stepped up in defense of THE BOYZ members and criticized how some fans take their parasocial obsession over their favorite idols.

Meanwhile, Juyeon addressed the matter in a long message to the fans on a fan communication app.

Dear Deobis,

First of all, I’m sorry for making you wait so long. I should have come to you a bit sooner for your sake, but I was worried about how to make you less worried and hurt, and as I kept thinking about that, more time passed. I think that time may have made things even harder for you, and I’m truly sorry for that.

I’m really sorry for making you upset because of this situation. Even though there are many things that aren’t true, I deeply feel that the responsibility for this situation ultimately lies with me.
