Rookie Girl Group Sparks Major Concerns As Repeated Screams Are Heard In The Background Of Multiple Livestreams

Fans of the rookie girl group RESCENE are worried about their safety after some disturbing speculations about their agency’s treatment of the group went viral on social media.

It started with a clip from a video featuring RESCENE uploaded on the Idol Backstage YouTube channel. In the clip, the members were seen having a conversation with their staff, which revealed that their dorm rooms didn’t have doors, and implied that all their doors were taken away after they failed to stick to the company-given diet plan. The members were trying to negotiate to have their doors back, arguing that the AC didn’t work well without them. One of their managers then retorted, saying, “If it’s too hot, come sleep in our room!”

The clip caused a huge uproar as fans were left disturbed by the revelation, especially since many believed that the manager in the mask who told the girls to sleep in their room was a male. However, this was not the end of it. Some discovered an old clip from a solo livestream of May where a girl could be heard screaming in the background, followed by a loud scream of a male voice.

Similar footage from another member’s livestream also surfaced shortly after.

These factors have sparked a massive outcry among K-Pop fans, to the extent where the CEO of RESCENE’s agency, The Muze Entertainment, issued a lengthy statement refuting the speculations. According CEO Josh Lee, the company didn’t take away any room’s door, but it actually had come off after Minami bumped into it. He also addressed the concerns about the members being pushed to diet excessively, asserting that they were well-fed.

Lee emphasized that the members had a great relationship with the company. He also addressed the screaming sounds, claiming that they came from outside.

The clarification, however, has fallen short in quelling the concerns of most fans. The controversy grew so large that eventually RESCENE member Liv also communicated directly with fans, assuring them that they were not in danger or in an abusive situation.
