2PM member-turned-actor Lee Junho is now facing backlash for the lack of communication on the fan app Bubble. With his messages few and far between, his fans are growing frustrated with him for “neglecting” them who subscribe and pay for the service.
2PM’s Lee Junho | @le2jh/InstagramAccording to fans, Lee Junho has posted only one message since late August, on October 18, 2025 (KST). One fan in particular noted, “He wasn’t like this during King The Land, but now he has completely changed.” While ₩4,500 KRW (about $3.13 USD) might not be a lot of money, it’s still money—and fans believe they’re paying to get silent treatment.
Even when his latest tvN K-Drama, Typhoon Family, began airing, the idol actor remained unseen on Bubble, unlike other stars on the same platform that share updates about their works. That said, Lee Junho’s silence has sparked debate about whether communication should be a paid service at all. Industry insiders commented via Tenasia, “If it’s not free but subscription-based, maintaining a certain level of communication is essential,” and that “Even if it feels like extra work, steady communication is part of being a professional.”
“Typhoon Family” | tvNOn the other hand, some fans believe his personal time and privacy should be respected. Noting “how easily small remarks can cause controversy on paid platforms these days, perhaps he’s just being cautious,” these fans argued that “Even for a paid service, communication should remain a choice, not an obligation.”
| theqoo- “If he doesn’t want to do it, then he just shouldn’t. Just say you’re not doing it.”
- “My idol also got criticized for not showing up, but when they got the choice, they chose to quit altogether. If it’s hard to get on Bubble often, not doing it at all might actually be better. There’s always Instagram and other stuff anyway. But honestly, the ones who end up feeling bad are the fans.”
- “Isn’t it a paid service? Sure, it’s his choice not to send any messages, but not communicating through a paid platform is a problem.”
- “If he’s not going to communicate on a paid communication app, then he shouldn’t offer it in the first place. From a fan’s point of view, that’s pretty annoying.”
- “He’s been in this business long enough to have a choice… Just say you don’t want to be on Bubble. Taking money and not doing anything? That’s basically ripping fans off.”
- “There should be an official rule that says you have to show up at least a few times a month if it’s a paid service.”
- “Just refund the fans. If there’s no communication on a paid communication service app, what else do you call that besides a scam?”
- “It wouldn’t be an issue if he never opened a paid communication channel in the first place.”
- “If you took the money, then do the job.”
- “He took the money, so he should provide the service. Why is he making excuses?”
