Previously, CUBE released a notice stating that sales for the LIGHTSUM OFFICIAL FANCLUB SUMIT MEMBERSHIP would end on October 30, 2025, with the entire membership service officially shutting down on November 19, 2025. The company added that new sign-ups will no longer be possible, though current members can access fan-exclusive content until the termination date.

With just a week left to the termination date, fans are getting worried about the group. While the agency did not directly mention the group’s future activities, fans found the timing and wording of the announcement alarming. Many began speculating that the move might signal an impending disbandment or indefinite hiatus, especially since the closure of an official fanclub often precedes such outcomes in the K-pop industry.

  • Looks like Cube failed to produce a successor group to (G)I-DLE.
  • Isn’t it the group that Produce48’s Chowon belongs to? A pity.
  • I wish that companies for groups such as Pristin and Gugudan would just let the groups go when they feel that they have no value for investment. I think it really ruins the future of these young kids for them to be tied down with a contract, doing neither this nor that as they are neglected during the contract period. It’s not enough for them to quickly get licensed at something else and try a different career path, rather than make the groups finish their full contract like WekiMeki. I think it’s only right to disband a group when they feel like it’ll be a flop.
  • Well, her story on Produce really helped Han Chowon. To be honest, she’s not a visual that’s in demand. And she should’ve debuted right after Produce, but I think her career took a blow because she was undebuted for so long.
  • Feels like the companies which once were doing well in the 2nd generation like Cube, Woollim, and WM, all don’t have popular groups in the 4th gen. They’re slowly struggling.

As of now, CUBE Entertainment has not released any additional statements regarding LIGHTSUM’s activities or contract status, leaving fans anxious and demanding clarity.
