Recent developments — with Haerin and Hyein agreeing to return to ADOR while Minji, Danielle, and Hanni are still in ongoing talks — have done nothing to stop well-known stars from speaking out in favor of the girl group.

Most recently, it was one of the voice actresses in the latest K-Pop related hit animated movie — Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters —  that strongly spoke about NewJeans.

May Hong, the voice of Mira from the fictional girl group HUNTR/X, demanded “justice” for the girl group when asked about the character’s favorite artist.

Question: Who would Mira’s favorite music artist be?

May Hong: I mean, in terms of K-Pop… I… Justice for NewJeans. [giggles] I think they’re so cool. I think the production of NewJeans is awesome.

She then went on to explain why she thinks Mira would love NewJeans, sharing that she loves the group’s dancing, style, and just how cute the members are.

And I think that, even though Mira’s like “arghhh” I think she would also love NewJeans so much, just how cute they are, and how good they are at dancing… I love their style so much, and I think that Mira also would.

NewJeans fans have welcomed the actress’s thoughts and shared their happiness that the star is publicly showing support for the girl group, despite the ongoing feud with ADOR.

Many have even said they wish more industry figures would take May Hong’s example and speak openly about the situation.

I wish more artists would be open about the situation but I completely understand why they don’t… Still I appreciate her coming up and openly support the girls https://t.co/OTBlgGXMgX
