Kim Ji Soo Reflects on Life in Prague and Addresses Retirement Rumors

Actress Kim Ji Soo has opened up about her new life in Prague while assuring fans that she has not stepped away from acting.

On July 9, the veteran star shared a heartfelt update on social media, reflecting on her slower pace of life after more than three decades in the entertainment industry and addressing rumors sparked by her recent career move.

According to SportsKhan, posting photos from Petřín Park, one of her favorite places in Prague, Kim described how different life feels compared to her years of working nonstop.

"After acting and running forward for over 30 years, I've never had time like this," she wrote. She explained that even during breaks between projects, she found it difficult to truly rest because she was constantly thinking about her next role and feeling as though she was always being chased.

Kim also spoke about her new chapter as the head of her own travel agency, Jisu in Prague, which she launched in March. The company offers guided tours in Prague, Český Krumlov, and Dresden, Germany.

Although she admitted that managing a business comes with its own challenges, she shared that the experience has helped her appreciate life in a different way. She said running a company is not something that can be sustained by determination alone, but she believes every experience has value. Her new business has led some fans to wonder whether she has quietly left the entertainment industry.

Kim addressed those questions directly, saying that people she meets through social media and her travel company often ask if she plans to continue acting. "I haven't retired~," she replied, making it clear that she still intends to return to the screen, AllKPop reported.

Kim's message reassured longtime supporters who have followed her career since her acting debut in 1992.

While she is currently taking a break from television following her role in the 2024 JTBC drama "Family by Choice," she emphasized that this period is simply giving her an opportunity to enjoy life from a new perspective rather than marking the end of her acting journey.
