KATSEYE Member’s Parent’s Alleged Support Of Donald Trump Sparks Heated Debate

Following the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump was named president again.

More so than any presidential candidate or elected official in recent years, support for Trump has been used to gauge values due to his policies and opinions.

In addition to calling the COVID-19 virus the “China virus” and sparking a wave of hate against Asians, his past actions and policies on gender issues, immigration, and more have created a negative image of the President and his supporters in many places around the world.

As many K-Pop fans having progressive views, the recent discovery of a KATSEYE member’s parent’s support for Trump has raised eyebrows.

Recently, it was pointed out that Daniela‘s mother, a Latin dance coach, was following Trump’s personal account on Instagram.

As the account for the President of The United States is different (@potus), some have seen this as a signal of support for Trump, with the information going viral at over 1 million views.  Some have accused the idol of sharing the views of her mother.

However, much of the backlash over the information is directed at those assuming Daniela’s beliefs are the same as her mother. Many have commented that it is not fair for Daniela to be criticized for her mother’s actions.
