K-pop girl group IVE has announced a comeback planned for late August, following their highly praised performances at this year's Lollapalooza festivals in Europe.
The group's agency, STARSHIP Entertainment, confirmed on July 24 that preparations are underway for IVE's first release since February, which comes about seven months after their last mini album, IVE SWITCH.
IVE recently made history as the first K-pop girl group to perform at Lollapalooza in three different cities over two consecutive years. Their tour included standout shows at Lollapalooza Berlin and Lollapalooza Paris. In Berlin, the group delivered a dynamic 55-minute set with live vocals, full band accompaniment, and intricate choreography that captivated the audience despite rainy conditions. The group's set featured fan favorites such as "REBEL HEART," "I AM," "LOVE DIVE," and "Baddie," with seamless transitions and emotional engagement from the crowd.
The performance in Paris further cemented the group's global popularity, where they wore coordinated punk-inspired outfits and handled a sound issue during their opening songs with calm professionalism by restarting and re-performing the affected tracks flawlessly. This summer's Lollapalooza shows build upon IVE's earlier success at Lollapalooza Chicago in 2024, where they also earned praise for accomplishing a 45-minute live performance with a full band, disproving critics of their live singing abilities.
