Ejae, best known for providing the singing voice of Rumi in the hit Netflix film "K-Pop Demon Hunters," confirmed that her debut solo single, "In Another World," will be released on October 24, 2025.

The announcement came via a handwritten letter posted to her Instagram account, in which she expressed gratitude for the support she has received as a songwriter and performer.

Over the past year, Ejae has emerged from behind the scenes to global acclaim. Her co-written track "Golden," featured in "K-Pop Demon Hunters," dominated the US Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks and cemented her reputation as both composer and vocalist.

In promoting "In Another World," she emphasized that songwriting has always been her true form of expression. "To me, an artist is someone who uses their art to express themselves, and songwriting is my art," she wrote, noting that sharing this song felt like the perfect way to connect with listeners on a personal level.

Ejae's path to this solo debut spans more than a decade. Born Kim Eun-jae in Seoul and later based in Brooklyn, she trained under SM Entertainment before shifting to songwriting and production. Her breakout came in 2018 when she co-wrote Red Velvet's "Psycho," which went on to be certified gold in the United States. She has since contributed to tracks for Aespa, Twice, and Le Sserafim, building a résumé that blends K-pop flair with emotional depth.

Beyond studio work, Ejae's face and voice have appeared on American television stages. On October 7, she joined fellow "K-Pop Demon Hunters" cast members Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami to perform "Golden" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Two days earlier, she and her co-stars reprised their roles in a musical sketch on the season 51 premiere of "Saturday Night Live." Those appearances marked her first major live renditions of "Golden," and she described confronting the song's soaring high notes as both thrilling and frightening.

"In Another World" promises to showcase a more introspective side of Ejae's artistry. She revealed that the song helped her navigate a difficult period, and she hopes it will offer solace to others facing their own challenges. "Writing this song helped me through a hard time, and I hope that sharing it can help others, too," she said.

As Ejae transitions to the spotlight, fans can pre-save "In Another World" on major streaming platforms now. With this debut, the singer-songwriter steps fully into her role as an artist, ready to build on the success she achieved behind the scenes.
