IVE’s Leeseo Bids Farewell To SBS “Inkigayo”

IVE’s Leeseo is graduating from her role as MC of Inkigayo.

Leeseo will step down from her MC position on SBS’s Inkigayo following the broadcast on the 7th, delivering her final farewell to viewers.

The past year and seven months have been a period of pure growth for Leeseo. She first took on the role of music show MC through Inkigayo in April last year, bringing her signature bright energy and sharp hosting skills to become a vital source of Sunday afternoon vitality. She especially impressed audiences with her flawless performances in various weekly skit concepts, showcasing perfect chemistry with her fellow MCs.

Additionally, true to her nickname “K-pop Challenge Vending Machine,” Leeseo flawlessly mastered and performed the signature choreography of returning artists, fully demonstrating her solid performance abilities and charisma. When IVE won first place following the conclusion of their “REBEL HEART” comeback activities this year, Leeseo represented the members, delivering an unwavering live encore stage all on her own, proving to be a one-woman powerhouse. The video of Leeseo’s live performance quickly ranked among the most trending videos on YouTube Korea upon release, underscoring her versatility as an entertainer and generating widespread buzz.

Ahead of her final Inkigayo broadcast, Leeseo shared through her agency, Starship Entertainment, “It has truly been an honor to spend every Sunday for the past year and seven months together with DIVE (official fan club) and the Inkigayo viewers. Every Sunday felt like a gift to me. Although I was new and probably clumsy at times, thanks to all the encouragement and love you gave me, I can wrap this up happily.”

She continued, “I want to say I really love DIVE, who always supported MC Leeseo, and I am grateful to the production staff, Starship employees, and fellow MCs who worked so hard with me all this time. Moving forward, I will return as Leeseo of IVE with even more amazing stages and activities, so please continue to support me a lot.”

This year, IVE, with Leeseo as a member, showcased a rich musical spectrum, starting with the pre-release track “REBEL HEART” from their third mini-album, followed by “ATTITUDE,” and the title track “XOXZ” from their fourth mini-album. Notably, through their third mini-album IVE EMPATHY, they expanded their perspective from “me” to “us,” delivering sincere messages about empathy, comfort, solidarity, and self-confidence, earning praise from listeners.

Moreover, leading trends across various fields and gaining huge popularity as the “MZ generation’s wannabe icons,” IVE recently wrapped up their second world tour SHOW WHAT I AM Seoul concert at KSPO DOME with great success. Following this, IVE will continue their global excitement with tours across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania.
