HYBE Star’s Parent Accused Of Slamming BTS With “Paved The Way” Comment

Conversations about who truly paved the way for K-Pop’s incredible global rise have been ongoing ever since BTS’s boom in the United States and beyond. But rarely do fans see parents of idols involved in them.

Unexpectedly, the mother of SEVENTEEN member Vernon has recently come under fire after several Facebook posts have been deemed as shade towards BTS by ARMYs.

In a lengthy post about SEVENTEEN, HYBE and BTS, Vernon’s mother admits that BTS “built the company that was able to buy Pledis [SEVENTEEN’s label]” and claims that HYBE used SEVENTEEN to “offset the inevitable income loss that would occur” once BTS members started their military enlistment.

However, in replying to commenters, she claims that there’s other acts that “might rightfully be considered the act that truly paved the way.” She credits both YG Entertainment group BIGBANG and viral sensation PSY. However, she later edited the comment, as shown below.

The BTS fandom did not take kindly to her remarks. Many are calling the SEVENTEEN star’s parent “bitter” and “a loser” for her public statements.

Furthermore, accusations of Vernon’s mother being a supporter of controversial United States President Donald Trump are making the rounds online based on other Facebook posts on her personal account.

As ARMYs condemn the posts above, SEVENTEEN fans are asking to keep Vernon out of the conversation.

1. Vernon is his own person with his own views and thoughts. Do not bring him into this. What you are calling him being bitter is just you not understanding what he said. Leave him alone
