TXT’s appearance at the 2025 MAMA Awards has sparked intense criticism online.

What was expected to be one of the group’s biggest stages of the year seemingly turned into one of the event’s most divisive performances.

This year’s MAMA Awards were marred by controversy, with G-Dragon‘s live vocals sparking a massive scandal and Stray Kids‘ Daesang win drawing backlash. TXT were also not spared from the criticism.

During the first night on November 28, Yeonjun took the stage alone, performing “Coma” and “Talk to You.”

The following night, on November 29, TXT returned as a full group with “Upside Down Kiss” and “Beautiful Strangers.”

Unfortunately, both performances fell flat according to Korean netizens. A viral Pann post criticised the team’s overall stage presence, labelling the performance as “dead last” of the night.

TXT’s stage is seriously bad. Their MAMA performance today was dead last….

…The gap between them and the other idols who performed today was huge. With skills like that, I honestly don’t think they could ever handle choreography from groups like BTS, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, or RIIZE. I can’t even imagine it.

In the comments, netizens agreed with the scathing post. Some even claimed that even though they’re fans of the group, TXT’s performance was disappointing this time around.
