A serving fire chief has been reported to the police for allegedly receiving 80 tickets to a PSY concert from a performance organizing company.

According to reports on August 21, KST, the Incheon Police Agency’s Anti-Corruption Economic Crime Investigation Team announced that it was probing into a fire chief from the Incheon West Fire Station, who had been reported on suspicion of receiving the tickets illegally.
The organizers reportedly gave the chief 80 tickets to the Summer Swag Show 2025, which was held in Incheon in June. Notably, this specific show had BLACKPINK member Rosé and BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon as guest performers. The organizers sent the tickets under the pretense of inviting the families of the firefighters, but the chief didn’t report this fact separately to the head of the agency.

After the Incheon Fire Department became aware of the chief’s action, it suspended him from duty and reported him to the police for violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, which regulates the gifts and other benefits received by public officials to combat corruption.
A police official has confirmed that the fire chief in question is currently under investigation based on the fire department’s report.
Meanwhile, Psy’s Summer Swag Show is the veteran idol’s summer brand concert where audience members can enjoy his concert while getting sprayed with cool water under the hot summer sun. In 2025, he has already done the concerts in various cities across Korea, including Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, and Busan. The concert series this year is set to conclude in Gwangju.
