Mnet’s upcoming global K-pop debut project BOYS II PLANET has wowed global audiences with a global showcase of its theme song performance by all 160 participants, further building excitement among fans around the world.
The “Signal Song Global Showcase”, streamed on Thursday via the global K-pop content platform Mnet Plus and official YouTube and TikTok channels, featured the full performance of BOYS II PLANET’s theme song “HOLA SOLAR” by all 160 participants. The performance captured the energy and passion of the participants, offering a striking first look at their potential. Staged with large-scale sets and high-end production design, the showcase leveraged cutting-edge AR technology to create a visually immersive experience, highlighting the show’s grand scale and advanced production technology.
Global fan response was immediate and enthusiastic, with social media buzzing worldwide. The showcase drew approximately 240,000 live viewers from 133 countries and regions. On X, “Mnet” ranked #21 on Worldwide Trends, with over 10 related keywords, including “Signal Song”, trending in South Korea. More than 15 hashtags trended across major Asian countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, while on Weibo, one of China’s major social media platforms, keywords related to the show and participants ranked high on real-time search charts, underscoring BOYS II PLANET’s global impact.
Following the showcase, individual performance videos for each of the 160 participants were released on June 13 at 6PM KST. These videos will be evaluated based on likes and views on YouTube and Mnet Plus through June 15 at 10AM KST. The results will be incorporated into each participant’s evaluation for an upcoming mission during the show.

The excitement continues with “PLANET DAY: OPEN STAGE”, a special fan event taking place on June 14 at DMC Culture Park in Seoul. Known among K-pop fans as an iconic fan event for Mnet’s K-pop debut programs, this will mark the first time all 160 participants meet their fans, known as “Star Creators,” in person.
Set to premiere in two parts — BOYS II PLANET K on July 17 at 9:20 PM KST and BOYS II PLANET C on July 18 at 9:20 PM KST, BOYS II PLANET is a world-scale project to create the next top K-pop boy group. Prepared by the same production team as the I-LAND series, Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga, and BOYS PLANET, the show will begin by spotlighting the diverse talents of BOYS II PLANET K and BOYS II PLANET C, and later bring them together into one unified journey toward debut.
