As per the latest reports by Thai media outlets, BLACKPINK member Lisa is gearing up to represent her country on a global level as a part of a massive national campaign.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reportedly announced on October 15 that Lisa will represent the nation as the face of its “Amazing Thailand” campaign to promote the country’s cultural heritage and warm hospitality to the world. TAT estimates that this campaign could bring in 5 to 10 million additional tourists to Thailand by next year, boosting the country’s reputation as a hub of global tourism.

As the new ambassador, Lisa will be highlighting the travel destinations, cultural landmarks, and traditions of Thailand to her global audiences. However, the campaign will also focus on domestic travel, encouraging people to boost local economies across the country.

Thapanee Kiatphaibool, the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, hailed this collaboration with Lisa as a monumental step, “allowing both Thais and international tourists to discover Amazing Thailand together.”
