NewJeans’ ongoing disputes with their own agency have already placed the group in one of the most scrutinized situations in K-Pop this year. That tension deepened further after ADOR confronted former CEO Min Hee Jin in court with pointed questions about the outcomes of the legal battles.

Min Hee Jin appeared in court on November 11 to testify in ADOR’s damages suit involving NJZ music video director Shin Woo Seok from Dolphin Kidnapping Group. According to Chosun, the agency referenced the exclusive contract dispute between NewJeans and ADOR, in which the court dismissed the group’s arguments at every stage.
Min Hee Jin didn’t have much to say when questioned about it.
ADOR: “Are you aware that NewJeans’ claims were rejected in the injunction (first and second trial) and in the main lawsuit, and that this is now final?”
Min Hee Jin: “Yes.”

ADOR then pressed further. The agency cited the court’s earlier remarks suggesting that the claims NewJeans made about ADOR failing in its obligations appeared to stem from Min’s own behind-the-scenes efforts. The agency’s former CEO dodged the question and asked for focus on the case against Director Shin.
ADOR: “The court also stated that the reasons NewJeans claimed ADOR failed its obligations appear to be the result of your prior efforts — meticulously reviewing materials related to HYBE, ADOR, and NewJeans to find points that could generate negative public opinion toward HYBE and support legal action. Are you aware of this as well?”
Min Hee Jin: “This trial is about whether Director Shin deserves to face a damages claim or not.”
Scathing questions aside, ADOR also accused their former CEO of having a secret deal with the group’s music video director. You can read all about it below.
