When it is a choice made by consenting adults, plastic surgery is entirely up to them. Many K-Pop idols have admitted to getting work done, even if they have mixed feelings about the results.
1st Gen K-Pop Idol Boldly Admits Where She Got Plastic Surgery
Sometimes, when getting a consultation done for plastic surgery, individuals will bring in inspiration photos of others to see if their features can be made similar to theirs.
Recently, a woman’s surgery transformation inspired by ENHYPEN‘s Jungwon went viral and sparked a debate.

In a video shared by Braun Plastic Surgery Clinic in Gangnam, a woman’s pre-surgery results are shown after photos of Jungwon are used as her “want” images.
Her transformation is then shown, with the woman’s features now resembling Jungwon’s. It appears she got multiple procedures done including a nose job and her eyes. Comparisons between the two are also shown, showing just how similar they now look.
The video was reposted on X, where it was met with mixed reactions from netizens.
Some felt that she simply used him as a reference photo, something commonly done as mentioned above.

Others felt she was trying to look exactly like him rather than use his features as inspiration and called it “creepy.”

Plastic surgery is so dark to me like your face is your identity so when u do this your basically stealing someone else's identity while loosing your own for forever,it's so sickening https://t.co/nAJegNjjft

While getting work done is common, it is understandable why some would question a person potentially trying to copy an idol’s face.
