Wi Ha Jun is gearing up to deliver a potent blend of ferocity and vulnerability in tvN’s upcoming thriller Siren’s Kiss, a fatal romance wrapped in mystery.

The drama follows a dangerously alluring woman entangled in suspected insurance fraud, and the investigator determined to expose the truth behind the deaths trailing her.

Wi Ha Jun plays Cha Woo-seok, a cold, unyielding insurance investigator who hunts down fraudsters willing to trade human lives for money.

The production team describes the role as one of his most intense transformations yet. The actor echoed the sentiment, saying he’s “excited and thrilled to portray a character different from my previous works.”

He admitted he was immediately hooked by Siren’s Kiss: “I really wanted to do it because it’s suspenseful, intriguing, and keeps you waiting for the next episode.

Cha Woo-seok, emotionally rigid and tough to the core, begins to crack after crossing paths with Han Seol-ah, the enigmatic woman at the center of the investigation. Wi Ha-jun said portraying Woo-seok’s shifting psyche was one of the project’s biggest challenges. “I spread out the script, mapped out every change, and adjusted my gaze step-by-step to reflect his deepening turmoil,” he shared.

His attention to detail extends to the action scenes. A longtime martial arts enthusiast, Wi Ha-jun didn’t undergo special training for the role. Instead, he focused on ensuring every fight scene was rooted in Woo-seok’s emotional state—promising action that’s not just explosive, but character-driven.

Ultimately, Wi Ha-jun pointed to the evolving tension between Woo-seok and Seol-ah as the core of Siren: “If you follow how their feelings shift and grow, you’ll enjoy the drama even more.

Siren’s Kiss premieres March 2 on tvN.
