As part of their ARIRANG album release, BTS had the song “2.0.”

NCT WISH has come under fire after being accused of plagiarizing BTS with their new song.

After the release of their new album, netizens noticed NCT WISH also had a song called “2.0.”

When the track was officially released, netizens quickly accused SM Entertainment of plagiarizing BTS’s song of the same title. While some pointed out that songs can have overlapping titles, they thought that combining them with the lyrics and timing seemed like too much of a coincidence.

NCT WISH’s “2.0” shortly after #BTS’s isn’t a coincidence. Same title, same theme, same timing. Calculated move. BTS set the blueprint. NCT WISH stepped in right away with the same name & framing. That’s not homage. That’s copying the playbook while it’s still hot. pic.twitter.com/WKzwdi2PSC

SM’s weird obsession with bts honestly needs to be studied, it’s been going on for a whole decade now. https://t.co/n0TiUC0xHX pic.twitter.com/yvhjQ3fMaB

Some tried to defend the group, explaining that concepts are done in advance and the teaser was posted before ARIRANG was released.
