[Re[CONCERT RECAP] BAEKHYUN Brings the Dream to Life in Seattle Stop of ‘Reverie’ World Tour

From pineapples in the crowd to EXO lightstick waves, BAEKHYUN’s Seattle concert was a masterclass in connection, comedy, and charisma.

On July 1, 2025, fans from across not just the U.S., but around the globe, descended on The WAMU Theater in Seattle for a night of soaring vocals, playful banter, and pure star power as Baekhyun graced the stage for his 2025 BAEKHYUN WORLD TOUR <Reverie>. Marking his first-ever solo world tour, Seattle was one of the most anticipated North American stops (outside of Los Angeles, of course) —and Baekhyun delivered a performance that was equal parts dreamy and electric.

After launching the tour in Seoul on June 7 and 8, Baekhyun’s journey across continents wasn’t without its hurdles. At earlier stops, fans had noticed he seemed a little under the weather, sparking concern that he had caught a bug during the tour. However, in Seattle, Baekhyun assured everyone with his radiant energy and bright smile that he was truly back to his old self. “Did you guys miss me?” he asked cheekily, knowing full well the answer would come in deafening screams.

Kicking off with the upbeat “Pineapple Slice,” Baekhyun had the crowd eating out of his hand from the jump. He didn’t just perform—he played, flirted, and teased his way through a dynamic setlist that included fan-favorite tracks like “Bambi,” “Un Village,” “Rendez-Vous,” and “Candy.” His signature aegyo (cute charm) was turned all the way up, punctuated by laughter and the crowd’s now-customary “hoo hoo hoo” calls—barking sounds fans have recently begun shouting at their favorite idols. Instead of brushing it off, Baekhyun leaned in, smiling as he egged the audience on to be even louder.

The atmosphere was electric, but Baekhyun also made space for emotional moments. After performing the heart-wrenching “Love Comes Back,” he paused to reflect, asking, “Do you always dance when you break up with someone you love? No, please come back,” while cheekily rolling his hips in mock heartbreak. The audience erupted in both laughter and love.

Seattle also offered fans an unexpected treat: Baekhyun performed “Cry For Love” during soundcheck—a song not previously included in any other tour setlist or rehearsals, making it an exclusive moment for those who arrived early. The surprises didn’t stop there. During a segment between songs, Baekhyun pointed out various past music video concepts—from the sleek outfit of “Candy” to the dashing look from “Bambi,” and even a man in the crowd dressed as a pineapple, in reference to “Pineapple Slice.” He laughed and nodded in approval, even mentioning Ezreal, the character he voices in the virtual League of Legends band HEARTSTEEL.

Between songs, Baekhyun also made time to talk about his day out in Seattle. “I went to Target,” he said with a grin, then shared how he wandered through Pike Place Market. “I bowed at a car while crossing the street,” he said, only to have the driver roll down their window and say, “You look like Baekhyun.” The crowd roared. Then came another tale—Baekhyun mentioned he almost visited Seattle’s infamous Gum Wall, but the moment he said it, fans quickly raised their arms in an X, yelling “No!” Baekhyun laughed and said, “I’m glad I didn’t go.”

Ever-attuned to his fans’ comfort, he acknowledged the famously unpredictable Seattle weather. “I’m someone who brings the rain with them wherever they go,” he said. “I was worried it would rain because it’s hard on you guys waiting outside. So I’m happy I get to see you all on a day where the weather is nice.”

Throughout the night, he praised the audience’s energy, including the noticeable presence of male fans in the crowd. “Hello, my name is Baekhyun,” he said. “But you can call me Bacon,” he added with a grin, clearly reveling in the joy of being on stage and in the moment. And after hearing the crowd sing along effortlessly, he smirked and said, “Eris are such good singers. Like Eris, like artist.”

The setlist continued with polished performances of “Lemonade,” “Chocolate,” and “Truth Be Told,” and the night soared toward its emotional high with “Psycho,” “Elevator,” and the beautifully performed “Amusement Park,” which closed out the night in a soft, lingering glow.

During the encore, Baekhyun reemerged, pulling out a hidden EXO lightstick from the front of the stage and encouraging fans to follow his movements. He swirled, waved, and spun it around with joy, creating a sea of synchronized lights—an unspoken nod to where it all began and the fans who’ve been there through it all.

For one night in Seattle, Baekhyun turned the city into a dreamscape. From his voice to his humor, to his sheer presence, it was clear that Reverie isn’t just a tour—it’s a love letter. And Seattle, wrapped in his voice and light, loved him right back.
