Recently, a video clip of NMIXX’s Lily went viral online after she corrected the translator during an interview.

During the interview, Lily was in shock after hearing the translation of Haewon‘s statement.

Haewon: When I was a trainee, I was very individualistic.

Translator: As a trainee, I tended to think more about myself, a little bit selfishly…

Lily: (gasps) individualistic.

Translator: Yeah, individualistically.

Fans were just as much in disbelief as Lily was that a hired translator would make this kind of mistake.

Fans were especially grateful to Lily for correcting the mistake, knowing that the mistranslation could’ve caused unnecessary hate towards Haewon.
