Sony Music Korea introduces its latest distribution artist, KEYVITUP, a five-member boy group set to make their highly anticipated debut with their self-titled first EP, “KEYVITUP.” Marking the official launch of a new global act, the debut signals the arrival of a group positioned to connect with audiences worldwide through a blend of performance and genre-driven sound. With a strong foundation in hip-hop and a clear creative direction, the rookie collective enters the market as a next-generation act focused on both musicality and global cultural impact.
Produced by Kim Jae-Joong, renowned artist, founding member of TVXQ, and founder of iNKODE Entertainment, the quintet enters the global stage with a clear artistic vision and a sound rooted in hip-hop influence and contemporary performance. Notably, the group has already begun generating early buzz online, with @eyopkr highlighting the rookie act as a standout “good-looking boy group.”
The group embodies a new generation of artists, symbolizing the “key” to connection, growth, and self-definition. The group embodies its core motto through the slogan, “Our music is both the key that opens the doors to the world and a vital signal that awakens it.” With each resonance of that signal, new stages emerge and new possibilities unfold. Their debut EP introduces a cohesive identity centered on individuality, shared evolution, and the courage to carve a new path.
The five-track EP features the title and focus track, “KEYVITUP” alongside “LEGENDARY,” pre-single “BEST ONE,” “SHOW ME SOMETHING,” and “POLAROID.” The lead focus track reinterprets old-school hip-hop and boom-bap through a modern lens, blending nostalgic grooves with contemporary energy to establish the group’s sonic identity. In contrast, “LEGENDARY” delivers a trap-driven and cinematic hip-hop sound. “SHOW ME SOMETHING” and “POLAROID” are both powered by heavy bass and a commanding structure that underscores themes of ambition, confidence, and legacy. The EP was released alongside the official music video for “KEYVITUP,” offering a dynamic visual counterpart that brings the project’s bold aesthetic and narrative to life.
