Lyricist Kim Eana has come under fire for remarks made during a radio broadcast about rookie co-ed group ALL DAY PROJECT.

On the July 16 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s Kim Eana’s Starry Night, the  members Annie, Tarzzan, Bailey, Youngseo, and Woochan appeared as guests. During the show, they introduced their debut tracks “FAMOUS” and “WICKED,” shared their thoughts on debuting, and described their individual personas.

However, the interview drew criticism from some viewers for its tone and approach. Kim Eana opened the interview with what was seen as a jab.

“It’s only been 24 days since your debut. How does it feel to be receiving so much attention already? Is it making you cocky? Also, isn’t it difficult being in a co-ed group?”

Particularly, Kim directed a remark at member Annie, speculating that her trainee period was short, commenting “You must’ve had the shortest trainee period.” This was seen as a hit at her chaebol background. Later, when Annie shared her motto, “This too shall pass,” Kim jokingly responded with a quick jab, “Are you saying you want this show to end quickly?”— leaving the guests visibly taken aback.
