Amid the ongoing backlash over JYP Entertainment‘s J.Y. Park (Park Jin Young) “stealing” center stage and “ruining” the World Street Woman Fighter performance, K-Pop fans are now growing more frustrated with him for his past instances of forcing his music on different programs.

“Literally Nobody Wants This”—J.Y. Park Under Massive Fire For “Ruining” Fan-Favorite Show

A viral theqoo post, titled “This is the fourth time J.Y. Park is releasing a new song during the finale of an audition program in which he himself is a judge,” called out the industry giant for pushing his own agenda on shows that are not about him.

The first time J.Y. Park stole the spotlight from actual show contestants was in 2012, on the first season of K-Pop Star. As a “special performance,” J.Y. Park revealed “You’re The One” for the first time before continuing to perform alongside the top 10 contestants.

Then, on the fourth season of K-Pop Star, he released “Who’s Your Mama?”—followed by “Still Alive” on the fifth season of K-Pop Star.

Counting “Gatsby” as a new release on World Street Woman Fighter, the post slammed J.Y. Park for taking advantage of the shows to promote himself rather than the contestants who actually need and deserve the air time.

Scathing comments followed, dubbing J.Y. Park a “narcissist” and a “nuisance.”

  • “Sure, he has a few hit songs. But maybe it’s because he was never actually a popular star? But he needs to grow up.”
  • “Is there even any demand? Why does he keep supplying?”
  • “It’s like he ALWAYS has to be the main character no matter where he is… He has always been like that, I think.”
  • “At this point it’s honestly a condition… delusions of grandeur, narcissism…”
  • “Total ego trip.”
  • “What is wrong with him??? He knows no one cares, so he’s forcing it with attention-seeking antics.”
  • “What’s his problem?”
  • “For real… during the last Street Woman Fighter and Street Man Fighter, BoA and the other judges were nothing like this, which makes the comparison even worse…”
