A female K-Pop idol spoke about her experience passing auditions, revealing the reason she couldn’t go to SM and JYP Entertainment.
In the 150th episode of the web variety show Salon Drip, released on July 28, RESCENE‘s Woni and Minami appeared.
MC Jang Do Yeon asked, “Minami became famous through an audition program, and this is Woni’s first company. Was there a company you almost joined?” Woni replied, “I’ve been to YG Entertainment and a subsidary of HYBE Labels. I couldn’t go to JYP or SM because of my age.” Woni debuted two years ago at the age of 19.

Woni added, “I passed many companies. I received many casting offers. So, I thought I’d visit companies while going to auditions.” Minami explained, “It can’t be helped. All trainees know how it is.”
Woni said, “You can’t help but have big dreams,” and Jang Do Yeon understood, saying, “You’re dedicating several years of your life.” Minami added, “Since there are famous seniors, they’re confident they’ll succeed if they go to those places.”
