Controversial K-Pop Idol Directly “Says” Free Palestine During Live Stream , Sparking Huge Reactions

FIFTY FIFTY member Chanelle recently became a hot topic amongst netizens after her actions during a live stream, and earned her praise.

Chanelle is one of the new members of FIFTY FIFTY who joined after the three original members departed amid their legal battle with ATTRAKT. Chanelle initially rose to fame as a fan favorite in R U NEXT?,  where she failed to make the final line-up of ILLIT.

The new line-up was met with pushback from international fans over the mistreatment of the original line-up, with the new members facing criticism.

During a recent live stream, the idol was reading comments when she paused for a moment while scanning them. She seems to mouth “Free Palestine” in a very deliberate and slow manner, nodding after she mouths it and sitting in silence for a bit longer.

She nods again more obviously, before transitioning to the next subject.

The clip made it on to social media, where it quickly began to spread amongst K-Pop fans. Many praised Chanelle for her actions, as few K-Pop artists have been direct about their support of Palestine due to the sensitive sensitive environment idols often face.

The clip was also posted to TikTok, where similar messages of praise were directed at the idol, amid some pushback.
