BLACKPINK’s New Single “JUMP” Sparks Scathing Reactions From Korean Netizens

BLACKPINK performed their highly anticipated upcoming single “JUMP” for the first time ever during their first stop in Seoul for the DEADLINE world tour — which kicked off today — and the song has already drawn huge reactions despite not being officially released yet.

The world-famous girl group previously teased the single on X (formerly known as Twitter) and other social media accounts by posting a short teaser that only revealed a few seconds of the song. At the time, fan reactions were overwhelmingly good, and while international fans seem to still like the new track, Korean netizens don’t feel the same.

Soon after clips of the performance went viral online, a post reached the HOT page of popular community site TheQoo where it garnered nearly 1000 comments and over 50,000 views.

In the comments, netizens heavily criticised the song. They seemingly weren’t happy with the quality of the song, claiming the track doesn’t feel like a BLACKPINK release. Some even called it a “B-class” single, not up to par with other BLACKPINK releases.
