BIGBANG is reportedly preparing to make their long-awaited return this summer with new music. According to reports, the legendary K-pop group will film a new music video in July as G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung get ready for their first official comeback in four years.
An exclusive report from Mydaily stated that BIGBANG is scheduled to shoot the new music video during the third week of July, from July 19 to 25, Koreaboo reported.
The three members have reportedly been adjusting their schedules to prepare for the music video shoot and additional video content connected to the upcoming release.
The comeback will mark BIGBANG's first group release since "Still Life," which was released in 2022. It will also be the group's first official activity as a trio following T.O.P's departure from BIGBANG in June 2023.
Since then, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung have focused on their individual careers while continuing their activities in music and entertainment. The upcoming release is expected to arrive before BIGBANG begins their 2026 WORLD TOUR IN GOYANG, which will start on August 21 at Goyang Stadium.
The tour will celebrate the group's 20th anniversary and is scheduled to expand across multiple regions, including Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia.
BIGBANG Builds Excitement for Summer Return
Earlier this year, BIGBANG returned to the spotlight with their appearance at Coachella 2026, marking their first major festival performance in nearly a decade. The event increased excitement among fans, who have been waiting for the group's return to the stage.
G-Dragon previously shared his excitement about BIGBANG's anniversary activities during a fan event.
"This year, BIGBANG is making a comeback for their 20th anniversary. As both a member and a fan, I am also looking forward to it, and I think all the members feel the same way," he said.
According to Seru, Daesung also described the group's return with a meaningful message, saying, "It's not just a comeback, it's our restart."
While the group's new project has not yet received an official release date, industry reports suggest that BIGBANG may release a physical single featuring two or three new songs instead of a full-length album due to the timeline.
T.O.P will not participate in the upcoming comeback or world tour. After leaving YG Entertainment in 2023, he has continued pursuing solo music and acting projects. His last release with BIGBANG was widely considered to be "Still Life."
