They performed their track “FAMOUS”…

And “WICKED.”

While many fans loved their performance, some just didn’t feel it. There was criticism towards Bailey, especially considering her reputation as a K-Pop choreographer, and many hit back with backlash as they didn’t understand why the group was lip-syncing.

  • Maybe it’s because expectations were high, but it’s not like they were bad—it just didn’t feel exciting on stage. There wasn’t anything that really popped… Maybe that’s why. LOL. I guess they’ll improve over time? Definitely feels like a team that needs to perform live to show their strengths.

  • Wait, was that lip syncing??? Wow, no wonder they sounded so good. But it’s their debut stage—why did they lip sync? Should’ve gone live to show their real skills. Hope they don’t have to win 1st place just to see their live vocals.
  • If they had done it live, the vibe of the song would’ve come through better.
  • But don’t most groups lip sync during their first week?
  • Bailey isn’t as impressive as I expected. I guess being a good dancer and being good on stage are different things.

  • The choreography felt kind of flat—none of the members really stood out. And even though it was lip-synced, one member looked kind of uncoordinatedㅠㅠ. Sigh… Bailey was almost too good, Annie has a nice voice but seems stiff, and Youngseo didn’t stand out as much as I thought. On the other hand, Tarzan has tons of charisma, and Woochan has a controlled vibe and solid rap skills—totally different styles, but both well-cast. I already thought the female members felt weak in the MV, and the stage just confirmed that. Maybe it’ll be different when they perform live, though.

The group has garnered mixed reactions since they debuted.
