5 Unforgettable Moments from “Wild Wild After Party”’s Fiery Manila Show

1 week ago 18

On May 24, the New Frontier Theater was on fire, figuratively, as Wild Wild After Party took over the stage for a night of seductive performances, playful charisma, and undeniable stage presence.

Presented by Steve O Neal Productions, the all-Korean ensemble delivered a 75-minute spectacle that had fans screaming, swooning, and wishing it would never end.

Drawing inspiration from the Magic Mike film franchise, which follows the world of male exotic dancers, Wild Wild After Party was a mix of sultry fantasy, slick choreography, and shameless fan service. Having already toured cities like Hong Kong and Mexico, the show’s Manila stop proved once again that this production has global appeal and the talent to back it up.

The cast featured eight chiseled performers: Kim Donghee, Kang Chunil, Roh Jinwook, Kim Jinwoo, Lee Yunje, Lee Heejung, Jeong Hansaem, and Han Jinwook, each bringing his own brand of magnetism and charm. Every performance blurred the lines between dance, theater, and immersive experience, leaving the audience breathless.

Here are five unforgettable moments from a night that redefined “after party.”

1. Sensual Opening — And Then, Boom!

The moment the lights dimmed and two spotlights revealed cast members slow dancing and flexing their muscles, you just knew things were about to get wild. The show opened with a teasingly slow, sensual sequence before transitioning into full-blown chaos as the entire cast took the stage in sharp suits to the beat of LMFAO’s “I’m Sexy and I Know It.”

As part of the number, the men gradually shed their jackets, and then their shirts, sending the audience into a frenzy. They even descended from the stage to dance with members of the crowd, setting the tone early: no one in the room was safe from the heat.

2. Some Are Luckier Than Others

Audience interaction was a huge part of the show, and some fans got the experience of a lifetime. Whether it was a flirtatious dance in the aisles or a front-row fantasy, the cast made sure everyone felt involved.

One of the most gasp-inducing moments was the infamous “bed stage,” where one fan was serenaded and danced on by Kim Donghee, who wore nothing but pajamas. (Yes, you read that right.)

And then there was the lap dance segment, yes, a full lap dance, performed to Michele Morrone’s “Watch Me Burn.” Two lucky women were pulled on stage by Kang Chunil and Kim Jinwoo, danced on, lifted into the air, and gently laid down. It was intense, intimate, and left the audience shook.

In another number, the men wore white shirts and denim jeans as they danced to “Unstoppable Now” by The Phantoms. By the end, they ripped their shirts apart and tossed them into the crowd. Eight lucky fans walked away with literal pieces of the show.

3. High-Energy Performances That Never Quit

Wild Wild After Party wasn’t just about steamy moments, it was packed with high-octane dance numbers that showed just how hard these performers worked. From start to finish, the energy never dipped.

One standout performance featured the cast in black mesh shirts and pleather pants dancing to Allie X’s “Devil I Know,” a dark, moody number with intense choreography. Another saw them switch to a more contemporary style in see-through white polo shirts while Gallant’s “Weight in Gold” played in the background, adding an emotional depth to the show.

Toward the finale, the group pulled out all the stops in a theatrical, drum-heavy routine while dressed in sailor uniforms. Set to Fall Out Boy’s “The Phoenix,” it was powerful, masculine, and goosebump-inducing.

4. Fan Interaction and a Heartfelt Farewell

As the show neared its end, the performers took a moment to slow things down and connect with the audience on a more personal level. After a whirlwind of high-octane dances and electrifying fan service, the cast turned sincere, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support they had received throughout the tour.

In between playful gestures and shy laughter, each member shared candid words of thanks, creating an atmosphere that felt intimate despite the size of the crowd. To cap off the experience, the group gathered at the front of the stage for a commemorative photo with the audience—a snapshot of a night none of them would forget.

5.  Encore? Yes, Please.

Just when it seemed like the night was over, the men returned for an encore—and they weren’t about to leave quietly. Each performer emerged with a personal flair: some flexed their muscles, others pulled off acrobatics like backflips. If the crowd wasn’t already screaming, they were now.

True to their name, they closed the show with a fiery performance of “It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls. The choreography was sharp, the energy was electric, and the crowd was fully in their hands. One final trip down into the audience allowed for high-fives, hugs, and heart-stopping fan interactions before the curtain finally dropped.

Wild Wild After Party wasn’t just a show, it was an experience. The combination of stage presence, physicality, and fan connection turned the night into something unforgettable. Whether you were lucky enough to be danced on or simply part of the screaming crowd, one thing’s certain: Manila won’t forget this after-party anytime soon.
